About the Artist
Wessel was born in 1981 in a small, yet notably artsy town
in Western Massachusetts called Northampton. As both of her
parents were artists, it did not take her long to realize that she too
wanted to do something creative.
In 2003, Kerri received her BFA in Illustration from the
Hartford Art School. Soon after graduating she began work
creating custom handmade signage for Trader Joe's Grocery Store
while also continuing to pursue her own artwork.
